HCM City (VNA) – A photo exhibition featuring the friendship andsolidarity between Vietnam and Cuba opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 15.
The exhibition displays 68 photos capturing important milestones in theVietnam-Cuba friendship, cooperation and solidarity, including mutual visits bythe two countries’ Party and State leaders, activities to tighten the bilateralrelations, images of Vietnamese and Cuban women and children with Presidents HoChi Minh and Fidel Castro.
In addition, it also introduces the culture, land and people of Cuba, as wellas cultural and art exchange activities between the two countries’ people.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Nguyen Van Manh, Vice President of the Ho ChiMinh City Union of Friendship Organisations, said through the event, Vietnamesepeople once again express their gratefulness to their Cuban friends for their solidarityand wholehearted support given to Vietnam during the most difficult periods.The photos showcased also affirm the traditional friendship, solidarity andcooperation between the two nations, he added.
According to Indira Lopez Arguelles, Cuban Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City,the exhibition helps promote the image of Cuba, further tighten the friendshipand solidarity between the two countries, and hobour women both nations.
She expressed her belief that the fraternal friendship between Vietnam and Cubawill further develop in the future.
The exhibition runs until October 30.-VNA
