Budapest (VNA) – General Secretary of theCommunist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong met DeputySpeaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Hende Csaba in Budapest onSeptember 10.

The two sides agreed to create favourable conditions for thetwo legislatures to exchange high-level delegations, as well as enhanceexchanges between parliamentary agencies and friendship parliamentarians’groups to share experience in law-making, supervision, personnel training.

They vowed to step up collaboration between the twocountries’ localities and offer all possible support to their friendshipparliamentarians’ groups to effectively tap their role in developing tiesbetween the two legislatures.

Stressing the importance of economic, trade and investmentcooperation in boosting bilateral relations, host and guest agreed to step upthe cooperation to match with fine political and cultural ties.

Csaba affirmed that the Hungarian National Assembly backsVietnam’s comprehensive cooperation with the European Union. He vowed to boostthe NA’s soon ratification of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement after it issigned so as to create a driving force for economic collaboration betweenVietnam and Hungary and other EU countries.-VNA
