Nonstop events scheduled for Da Nang firework show

A series of activities have been planned to thrill visitors through two summer months of the 2017 Da Nang International Firework Festival.

Da Nang (VNA) – A series of activities have been planned to thrill visitorsthrough two summer months of the 2017 Da Nang International Firework Festival.

The event entails firework displays of eight rival teamsfrom Switzerland, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Austriaand Vietnam.

Their performances will light up the Han River on five Saturday nights from April 29 to June 24.

Entrance fees for each firework night range between300,000 and 500,000 VND (13-22USD) per person.

The festival also features street carnivals everyFriday during its course, with enticing parades performed by participatingcountries.

On April 30, war veterans and visitors together will carrylit candles and torches at a ceremony held to commemorate those who laid downtheir lives for peace of the nation.   

Meanwhile, an international food space is scheduled torun from April 20 and September 30.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
