No Vietnamese casualties have been reported following a deadly earthquake that struck Turkey and Greece on October 30.

Hanoi (VNA) – No Vietnamesecasualties have been reported following a deadly earthquake that struck Turkeyand Greece on October 30.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairsordered representative agencies in Turkey and Greece to continue keeping aclose watch on the situation and remain in touch with local authorities and theVietnamese communities in the two nations, in an effort to timely updateinformation and carry out citizen protection measures if necessary.

In case of emergency, Vietnamese citizenscan contact the embassies in Turkey  +90-545-785-8548, in Greece +30-695-194-9459, or the citizen protection hotline +84-981-848-484.

At least 27 people were killed whilehundreds of others wounded in Turkey and Greece when a powerful earthquake hitthe Aegean Sea on October 30 afternoon./.
