Nguyen Nhat Anh’s “Toi la Beto” book to be published in RoK

The book entitled “Toi la Beto” (I am Beto) by children’s best-selling author of Vietnam Nguyen Nhat Anh will be translated to Korean and published in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Hanoi(VNA) – The book entitled “Toi la Beto” (I am Beto) by children’s best-sellingauthor of Vietnam Nguyen Nhat Anh will be translated to Korean and published inthe Republic of Korea (RoK).

According to the Ho Chi MinhCity-based Tre (Youth) Publishing House - the representative of NguyenNhat Anh’s book copyright, RoK’s 59mins Publishing House has bought thecopyright of the book. It plans publish the book in the RoK in early 2022,translated by translator Jeong Yekang.

This is the second book by Nguyen Nhat Anh to be publishedin the RoK after “Cho toi xin mot ve di tuoi tho” (Give me a ticket tochildhood) by Dasan Books Publishing House in 2013.

Released in 2007, I am Beto tells the storyabout an intelligent dog named Beto and his friends. So far, more than 150,000copies of the book have been sold, becoming one of the best-selling works ofNguyen Nhat Anh.

Nguyen Nhat Anh is a favourite author of children, teenagersand adults. His well-known novels recently published include Toi la Beto (I amBeto); Cho toi xin mot ve di tuoi tho (Give me a ticket to childhood); Dao mongmo (Dream Island); and Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh (I see yellow flowers ongreen grass); and “Mat biec” (Blue Eyes).

In September 2020, Nguyen Nhat Anh’s long story entitled "DiQua Hoa Cuc" (Going through daisy season) and Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di TuoiTho were also introduced to Japanese readers by Japan’s Nikkei Publishing Houseand The Daido Life Foundation. Earlier, his works Mat biec and Toi thay hoavang tren co xanh were published in in 2004 and 2017, respectively./.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange
