HCM City (VNA) – A new book on the late President Ho Chi Minh and National Assembly of Vietnam (NA) has been published in HCM City by the Tre (Youth) Publishing House.
Titled Uncle Ho and National Assembly of Vietnam, the book aims to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). It is co-written by Ha Minh Hong, Tran Thuan and Luu Van Quyet.
It features the history of the National Assembly, including stories about the first democratic election in the country (January 6, 1946).
It also covers the founding of the NA (1946 to 1960) and the period of building Social Republic in the north (1946 to 1969).
The first President and his works are featured through these historical events.
Uncle Ho and National Assembly of Vietnam reviews and highlights the role and contributions of the NA and President Ho Chi Minh during the process of building and protecting the country.
The 100-page book, written in Vietnamese, includes different sources of books, reports and documentaries stored by institutes, libraries and museums in the country as well as personal collections of national leaders.-VNA
