Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 150 cinematic works have registered to compete for the 2015 Canh dieu (Kite) Awards, announced President of the Vietnam Cinematography Association Dang Xuan Hai on March 31.
The awards aim to honour outstanding works and individuals in seven categories: film, animation, documentary, TV series, short film, scientific film and cinematic commentary.
The six-member jury will choose one “Golden kite” award, one “Silver kite” award, and one certificate of merit for each category.
Participating films will be screened for free from April 13-17 at the National Cinema Centre, the August Cinema, the CGV Mipec Tower Cinema and the Ngoc Khanh Cinema.
The awarding ceremony will take place in Hanoi on April 20.-VNA
