Top Vietnamese tennis player Ly Hoang Nam will participate in the men's F26-28 Futures in Egypt, slated for August 10.
Nam, world No 1,312, will first compete in the qualifying round.
He has so far attended three Futures tournaments in Thailand, Indonesia , and Belgium . His best performances helped him to enter the quarter-finals in Thailand and Indonesia.
After this tournament, the 18-year-old will compete in the US Open, which is scheduled to be held from September 6 to 13.
The player, born in the southern Tay Ninh province, has become the first Vietnamese to claim a Grand Slam junior title after winning the boys' doubles trophy at the Wimbledon championships, with Indian partner Sumit Nagal on July 12.-VNA
