Vietnamese tennis ace Ly Hoang Nam is seeded 12th at the junior competition of the US Open, the last of four Grand Slam tournaments in this calendar year.
Despite winning the doubles event at the Wimbledon Championships in July—the year’s third Grand Slam tournament, the Vietnamese player said that he would focus on the singles event at the US Open.
Nam, who is coached by Cristian Brydniak, will pair with Akira Santillan of Japan in the doubles event.
The 18-year-old player will compete in three Men’s Futures tournaments in Egypt before heading to the United States.-VNA
