Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi has received the Vietnam’s Leading Tourist Destinations Award for the second time from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The award honours the work done by the museum in 2015.
Last year it constantly innovated, organising exhibitions and cultural performances that attracted a large number of local and foreign visitors.
It recently upgraded a building in the museum to serve travellers.
According to its director, Vo Quang Trong, the award marks the museum’s contribution to Vietnamese culture and tourism.
Gradually, the museum has expanded the scope of its exhibitions to also cover Southeast Asian ethnic culture.
It has over 30,000 artefacts, including over 3,000 from other countries.-VNA
