At the concert, the VNSO will play twospecial classical pieces which are rarely performed in Vietnam: Mozart'sClarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622 and Beethoven's Symphony No.1 in DMajor Op.21. The Clarinet Concerto is believed to be one of the finalworks by Mozart, who died less than two months after it premiered.
Notablefor its intricate interplay between the soloist and the orchestra, theconcerto is purely instrumental and the 200-seat auditorium at L'Espacefits perfectly for that purpose.
The concert will feature Conductor Dong Quang Vinh and young clarinet player Tran Khanh Quang.
Bornin 1984, Vinh first studied the flute at the Vietnam National Academyof Music. In 2004, he was trained as a classical music conductor at theShanghai Conservatory of Music. After his graduation in 2010, Vinhreceived a full scholarship from the Chinese Government to pursue amasters' course as an orchestra conductor.
