Mekong Clubs Championship to take place in four countries

National football champions of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand will compete in the Toyota Mekong Clubs Championship, scheduled for December 9 – January 6 in the four countries.

Hanoi (VNA) – National football champions of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand willcompete in the Toyota Mekong Clubs Championship,scheduled for December 9 – January 6 in the four countries.

According to information announced at a press conference in Hanoi onDecember 8, the opening match between Sanna Khanh Hoa of Vietnam and Boeung Ketof Cambodia will take place in Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on December 9.

The final match and the closing ceremony will be held in Thailand.

The champion will get a Cup and a prize worth 75,000 USD, while the runner-up andthe third prize winner willreceive 50,000 USD and 30,000 USD, respectively.

As part of the Toyota Mekong Football Project initiatedby the Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific, the tournament has been held since 2014 for bestclubs of countries in the Mekong region.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
