Marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh ranks second in world

Vietnamese shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh was named second in the world men’s 10m air pistol rankings for January, according to the latest announcement by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh was namedsecond in the world men’s 10m air pistol rankings for January, according to thelatest announcement by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

Vinhclaimed second place in the discipline following his triumph at the 2016Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

TheVietnamese marksman currently has 1,562 points, behind Matsuda Tomoyuki ofJapan who topped the rankings with 2,150 points.

KorostylovPavlo and Omelchuk Oleh of Ukraine, Wu Felipe Almeida of Brazil and Yang Pei ofChina were the runners-up.

In the50m slow fire pistol event, Vinh ranked fourth in the world with 978 points.The first position went to Jin Jongoh of the Republic of Korea with 1,749points.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
