Made-in-Vietnam satellite set for launch before March 2022

A Made-in-Vietnam satellite called NanoDragon will be launched into orbit by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency before March 2022, according to the Vietnam National Space Centre.
 

Developed and built by engineers at the Vietnam National Space Center, NanoDragon weighs some four kilos and belongs to the CubeSat category, a type of miniaturised satellite for space research.

It has been transferred from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport to Narita International Airport in Tokyo, and is set to be sent into space from the Uchinoura Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture.

NanoDragon was developed with the purpose of monitoring vessels at sea.

The Made-in-Vietnam, one kilo PicoDragon satellite was successfully launched in 2013./.
