Ly Hoang Nam wins one more doubles tournament

Vietnam’s best young tennis player Ly Hoang Nam and Sun Fajing won the China F12 Men’s Futures’ men’s doubles on July 14 in Shenzhen City, China.

Hanoi (VNA) — Vietnam’sbest young tennis player Ly Hoang Nam and Sun Fajing won the China F12 Men’sFutures’ men’s doubles on July 14 in Shenzhen City, China.

The No 3 seeded Vietnamese andChinese pair defeated Singh Karunuday of India and Alcantara Francis Casey ofthe Philippines, No 4 seed, 6-4, 6-4 in 76 minutes.

It is Nam’s third internationaltrophy after victories in the Vietnam F5 and F9 tournaments last year. In 2015Nam and Sumit Nagal of India won the Wimbledon boys’ doubles.

Earlier in the singles event, Namlost 4-6, 6-4, 1-6 to his partner Fajing in the quarter-finals.

Nam will return home and prepare forhis next tournament at the Thailand F4 event on July 31- August 6 and theSoutheast Asian Games in Malaysia in August.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
