The parade hasbeen recognised as the largest of its kind in Vietnam by the VietnamBook of Records (Vietbooks) and the most special and successful culturalfestival of the country’s tourism sector by the Guide Awards.
Nearly 3,000 children from 30 schools in the city brought to the eventwax lanterns which are inspired by fairy tales or such images as thewater tower in Phan Thiet and Truong Sa border marker.
In thebustling drum beats, 30 large lanterns and thousands of small onesmarched past Phan Thiet streets, making the city sparkling with myriadcolours.
The event created a healthy playground for childrenin the occasion of the mid-autumn festival. It is one of the fivetraditional festivals in Binh Thuan province aimed at promoting thelocal tourism sector.-VNA
