“Japanese Culture Festival” in Da Nang city

The Da Nang Museum on March 10 held the “Japanese Culture Festival” 2019 in the central city of Da Nang to popularise the beauty of the culture, land and people of Japan to locals and visitors, thus contributing to the strengthening of cultural exchange between the two countries and bilateral friendship.

Da Nang (VNA) – The Da Nang Museum on March 10held the “Japanese Culture Festival” 2019 in the central city of Da Nang to popularisethe beauty of the culture, land and people of Japan to locals and visitors,thus contributing to the strengthening of cultural exchange between the twocountries and bilateral friendship.

Large crowds of participants had a chance to enjoy shows andjoin various activities related to Vietnamese and Japanese traditional costumes,quizzes on the two cultures. They also showed special interest in Japanese typicalfood, tea ceremony, calligraphy, paper folding, and folk games.

In Vietnam, Japan is often referred to as “the land ofcherry blossom” or “the land of rising Sun”. Many of its cultural pieces suchas kimono dress, ikebana flower arrangement, cherry blossom, samurai fighters,manga books, sushi and sashimi are very popular among Vietnamese, young and oldalike.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
