Quang Ninh (VNA) – Japanese women took all first, second andthird prizes at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB)’s Tuan Chau-HaLong Opens 2018 which concluded in Ha Long city of the northern coastalprovince of Quang Ninh on May 12.
The final game took place on May 12 between Nagata/Kumada (Japan 3) andMizoe/Hashimoto (Japan 2).
The Japan 2 beat its rival 25-23, 21-18 and 15-13, winning the firstprize with cash award of 20,000 USD.
Earlier in the semi-final, another Japanese pair, Suzuki/Sakaguchi alsowon their Israeli competitor Starikov/Chorin 2-1 and bagged the bronze prize.
The four-day competition, belonging to the FIVB’s World Tour, drew 18teams from 12 countries including Canada, the Czech Republic, Japan, Denmarkand Israel.-VNA
