Hanoi (VNA) - Le Tuan Minh of Vietnam brought home a silver medal from the LaosInternational Open Chess Tournament which closed on recently in Vientiane.

The International MasterMinh scored seven points after nine matches. He took home a 1,500 USD bonus incash. The winner was Grandmaster Grigoryan Kare of Armenia who bagged 7.5points.

IM Duong The Anh of Vietnamcame third with 6.5 points.

The first ever tournamentin Laos lured 68 masters from 15 countries with a total purse of 10,000 USD.

Vietnam sent 12 competitors to the event and six of them were inthe top 20.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
