HCM City to host more MICE tourists next year

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh Citywill see a sharp increase in MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions andexhibitions) tourists in 2018, according to the local Department of Tourism.

The director of the city’s department, BuiTa Hoang Vu, said the city would welcome two large MICE groups consisting of4,000 people in May alone.

MICE and waterway tourism would be promotednext year, he added.

The city welcomed an estimated 6.38 millioninternational visitors this year and earned some 116 trillion VND in tourismrevenues, up 22.8 percent and 12.6 percent from last year.

The number is expected to rise to 7.5million next year, he said. - VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
