Hanoi FC to compete in Thailand’s Leo Pre-season Cup

Hanoi (VNA) - V.League 1 defending champions Hanoi FC will competein the Thailand’s most prestigious pre-season tournament which takes place fromJanuary 12-26.

The team will compete alongside 12 Thai teams and three teams in the SoutheastAsian region including Lao Premier League champions, Lao Toyota; Malaysia SuperLeague runners-up Perak FA and Cambodian League champions, Phnom Penh Crown.

Among 12 Thai teams, there are six teamsfrom the Thai League 1 including Port FC, Muangthong United, who have recruitedVietnamese goal keeper Dang Van Lam from Hai Phong Club, winner of Thai FA Cup2018 Chiangrai United, PT Prachuap and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Six first division football teams of Thailand will also take part in thistournament.

Hanoi FC will present major challenges for the local sides, as they will usethis tournament to prepare for their upcoming AFC Champions League campaignsand the national premiere league. - VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.
