Hanoi (VNA) – A photo contest will be launched by the Hanoi Association of Photographic Artists in co-ordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA).
The contest is held annually to encourage Hanoi-based photographers to record the city’s long history.
This year’s contest titled Hanoi Impression will allow photographers to take photos in different genres, such as landscapes, portraits and daily life featuring architecture, historic and cultural sites, traditional crafts from villages, as well as cultural activities and important events in the city.
In particular, photographers are encouraged to take pictures of outstanding people in the campaign to "study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example".
The contestants will upload photos on the contest website www.lienhoananhkhuvuc.vn from May 1 to June 15. Each contestant can send a maximum of eight photos .
Vu Khanh, Chairman of VAPA, will head a five-member panel that includes Chairman of the Hanoi association Dinh An, and international award-winning photographer Tran Viet Van.
The award-winning photos will be displayed at an exhibition on July 15 in Hanoi.-VNA
