Guitarist Henry Padovani (Source: Internet) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The original leadguitarist for the chart-topping British rock band 'The Police', Henry Padovani,will perform in Hanoi for five nights this week.
His series of concerts, which will take place atSofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, is part of the Sofitel Fête de lamusique celebration.
The musician will perform at Thang Long Hall on June23, presenting his own compositions, in French and English. The 90-minute willalso include blues and classic rock songs and stories of his experiences withsome of the most famous names in music.
Also, from June 19 until June 22, Padovani willperform at Le Club Bar from 8pm to 9pm.
Originally from Corsica, France, Padovani formed ‘The Police’ in 1976 withSting and Stewart Copel as the original guitarist, before going on to performwith several other top artists.
In 1980, Padovani formed his own group, TheFlying Padovanis, while at the same time managing Europe’s biggest soloact, Zucchero, who went on to sell more than 15 million albumsworldwide.
In 2011, the musician became a judge on theFrench version of the popular TV show, The X Factor.
