To qualify for a brevet, coaches are required to have significantnational and international coaching experience and achieve a minimum of85 percent on the Academy examinations. Lam got 87 points on thecombined theoretical and practical tests.
"I attended level 1and level 2 courses to increase my coaching skills and didn't think oftaking part in level 3. When I was accepted to participate in level 3, Ionly said to myself that I had to try my best," Lam said.
"The resultsurprised me a lot. International coaches are better than us, so Ididn't think I would receive this honour."
Besides Lam, threeother coaches earned the certification: Angela McMillan of New Zealandand Mariyan Kolev and Desislava Bogusheva from Bulgaria.
This enables them to be lecturers in the next courses for international coaches organised by FIG.-VNA
