First festival of Vietnam’s martial arts wraps up

As many as 21 gold, 33 silver and 44 bronze medals were presented to participants of an international festival on Vietnam’s martial arts, which concluded on March 28 in Nha Trang city of the coastal central province of Khanh Hoa.

Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 21 gold,33 silver and 44 bronze medals were presented to participants of aninternational festival on Vietnam’s martial arts, which concluded on March 28in Nha Trang city of the coastal central province of Khanh Hoa.

The three-day festival, the first of itskind, was co-oganised by the Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts Federation andKhanh Hoa’s Department of Culture and Sports.

It drew the participation of fourinternational delegations and 55 domestic ones from 24 localities nationwide.

The festival aimed to honour culturalvalues and the quintessence of Vietnam’s martial arts, along with promotingtraditional martial arts to foreign friends.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
