Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The annual VTV InternationalCycling Tournament – Ton Hoa Sen Cup – entered the second stage from Hanoi tocentral Thanh Hoa province on September 3 with a Philippine cyclist being thefirst to cross the finish line.
After nearly three hours, Jan Paul Morales fromthe Philippines was the first to finish the 151km stage. He was followed byChangpad Kristada of Infinite Ais Cycling Team and Juin Jang of Korail CycleTeam.
Vietnam’s Le Van Duan was among the three bestathletes in the sprints in Ha Nam province, Ninh Binh province and Ha Trungdistrict of Thanh Hoa.
The third stage, from Thanh Hoa city to Vinhcity of central Nghe An province, will take place on September 4.
This year’s VTV International CyclingTournament, beginning on September 2, features 14 stages with total length ofover 1,600km from the north to the south of Vietnam.
It attracted 84 cyclists from seven Vietnameseteams and other teams of the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, theNetherlands and Singapore.
The tournament will end in Ho Chi Minh City onSeptember 17.-VNA
