Buenos Aires (VNA) – The Vietnamese movie Cha Cong Con (Father andSon) was screened in Uruguay on March 14 as part of cultural activities incelebration of International Francophonie Day.
The film screening was organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina andUruguay.
At the event, representatives from the Vietnamese embassy underlined the humanvalues of the film which tells story of a little boy named Ca who dreams oftouching the clouds and of visiting fairytale lands. However, he suffers froman incurable disease and his blind father whisks him away to go to seeeverything he wishes before his death.
Attendees at the event were impressed by the film, many of whom expressed theirwish to visit Vietnam to see the country.
The Francophonie Week, taking place in Montevideo and other cities in Uruguayfrom March 6-22, is jointly held by embassies and representatives ofFrancophonie member states in the nation.
The film screening is part of activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Uruguay diplomatic ties (August 11, 1993-2018).-VNA
