Exhibition brings sea, islands closer to inland people

A photo exhibition on Vietnam’s sea and islands was opened on April 28 at a museum of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, providing the public a closer look at the inseparable part of the country.

Thedisplay, which will run until May 4, features 120 photos on dailyactivities of residents and soldiers on Hoang Sa and Truong Saarchipelagos as well as other islands, thus raising the awareness ofpeople, especially the young, of patriotism and the national sea andisland sovereignty.

The same day, a similar exhibition kicked off in the northern coastal city of Hai Phong.

Fromnow to May 8, visitors will have an overview on the development of theVietnam ’s Navy, which has firmly safeguarded the country’s sea,islands and continental shelf.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
