The four-day event includes book readings, workshops, a live-drawing concert and short movies screening.
Newworks in German, French and Dutch, which have been recently translatedinto Vietnamese, are also introduced to readers, including “OtherPleasures” of Jerzt Pilch, “The adventure of the giant pear”, and theVietnamese-language version of Italy’s book “Geronimo Stilton”.
Vietnamese bookworms are also offered a chance to talk with AnnetteKohn, the writer of the story “Leto – Journey to Ha Long Bay” andIsraeli writer Etgar Keret, the father of the well-known short story“Suddenly, a Knock on the Door”.
The EuropeanLiterature Days event is a part of the 2015 Europe Days in Vietnam,which also features a series of cultural activities, such as a lasershow, a European Food Festival and a European Film Festival.-VNA
