An agreement on EUNIC Vietnam inception was signed by representatives ofthe British Council of the UK, the Goethe Institute of Germany, theL’Espace Centre of France, the Brussels-Wallonie delegation of Belgiumand embassies of Italy, the Netherlands, and Austria.
EUNICVietnam President, Franck Pezza, who is Chief of the Brussels-Walloniedelegation, said EUNIC Vietnam will act as a bridge for European andVietnamese researchers, artists and audiences through cultural andartistic events and activities.
According to EUNIC Vietnam VicePresident, Almuth Meyer-Zollitsch, who also is the Goethe Institute’sChief, apart from the organisation of cultural projects and activitiesof each European country, EUNIC Vietnam will play a role as coordinatorand organiser for joint activities with various countries.
EUNICVietnam will host the European music festival in Ho Chi Minh City laterthis month along with the European Balling Days, European LiteratureWeek and European Language Week.
Established in 2006, EUNICoperates beside the European Commission. With its headquarters inBrussels, Belgium, the organisation has so far made its presence felt in53 countries./.
