Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Ho ChiMinh City on April 30 for international guests who attended a ceremonycelebrating the 40th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnamand National Reunification Day.

The guests include more than 100 individuals and representatives frominternational organisations from 40 nations and territories across theworld.

Deputy PM Phuc acknowledged theircontribution to the Vietnam’s historic victory as well as in its nationbuilding and protection.

The guests shared theviews on the 1975 triumph, saying that it was not only significant toVietnamese people but also to peace-lovers around the world.

They also praised the positive achievements Vietnam has made over the past 40 years.-VNA
