An art troupe from Kawasaki, drum group fromOttawara and kite art group from Misuke will perform with students fromJapanese-language colleges in Da Nang.
Artists will demonstratemartial arts, Bon Odori and bamboo pole dances, while Vietnamese andJapanese restaurants offer specialties from Japan and the central regionof Vietnam. Participants can even try on kimono and yukata.
Theevent, which aims to boost friendship between Vietnam and Japan, marksthe launching of a new direct flight between Da Nang and Tokyo's NaritaAirport.
The central city's People's Committee has allocated anarea of 7,000sq.m in Ngu Hanh Son district for a Vietnam-Japan CulturalFriendship Centre - the first of its kind in the central region.
Thecentre will provide a space for Vietnamese and Japanese people toexchange cultural performances, fashion shows and bonsai exhibitions. Itwill also organise Japanese language courses.-VNA
