With the success of hosting several big international conferences and unique tourism products, the central beach city of Da Nang has received bigger attention of foreign visitors. 2019 is expected another successful year for the city’s tourism sector.
More than 7.6 million visitors, including nearly 2.9 million international tourists, visited Da Nang in 2018, an increase of 23 percent compared to 2017. 2018 was a successful year of the locality’s tourism sector as the beautiful beach city continued to win the hearts of holiday-makers.
The city strives to welcome 8.2 million visitors in 2019, of which 3.2 million will be foreigners, earning total revenue of nearly 1.2 billion USD. With several attractions, including the Golden Bridge, international fireworks and efforts to develop a friendly tourism city, experts have an optimistic outlook for the city’s tourism sector.
It is not incidental that the US’ New York Times has called Da Nang as Vietnam’s Miami and ranked the beautiful beach city 15th on its 52 must visit destinations in 2019. Da Nang should grab the opportunity to lure more tourists from North America, and the EU.
