It is the second year Vietnam has attended the Games’ Masters ofArtillery Fire event. The team will depart for Kazakhstan on August 3.
The Vietnamese artillery corps received a five-monthintensive training to prepare for the event.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Commander of the Artillery ArmsMaj. Gen. Nguyen Hong Phong asked the team to stay united during thecompetition and keep themselves safe from the COVID-19 pandemic.
He requested them to maintain high determination and discipline,uphold the spirit of teamwork and fair-play and deploy suitable tactics inorder to achieve the best results.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Russia, this year’sArmy Games will be held from August 22 to September 4. A total of 277 teamsfrom 41 countries and territories will compete in 34 categories.
Teams from the Vietnam People's Army gained outstanding results and surpassedtheir set targets at the 2020 Games./.
