Australian field hockey teams to play in HCM City

At the invitation of the Vietnam Hockey Federation, the Australian field hockey men and women teams will be in HCM City from March 31 to April 7 to promote field hockey in the country.

Hanoi (VNA) - At the invitation of the Vietnam Hockey Federation, theAustralian field hockey men and women teams will be in HCM City from March 31to April 7 to promote field hockey in the country.

A contingent comprising 30 male and 30 female hockey players, coaches andofficials will participate in a seven-day hockey tour.

On April 1-2, there will be hockey matches against the Vietnam men’s andwomen’s teams at the Vietnam Hockey Centre located in Ben Luc town in thesouthern province of Long An.

The Singapore Crescent team and Saigon International Hockey Club based inDistrict 2 in HCM City will also participate in the hockey matches.

The Australian men’s hockey is ranked No 1 in the world and the Australianwomen’s is in the top 4 in the world.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
