Hanoi (VNA) – TheAsia-Europe New Music Festival will take place from November 24-27 in Hanoi and the northernprovince of Ninh Binh.
The information was released by Chairman of the VietnameseMusicians’ Association Do Hong Quan at a press conference in Hanoi on November 2.
The festival will operate as an art forum, showcasingVietnam’s recent achievements in new music and introducing local musicians andtheir works to international friends, he said.
The event will help foreign musicians and artists gaininsight into the land, people, culture, and traditional music of Vietnam,contributing to consolidating the sound relations between Vietnamese artistsand their foreign colleagues.
More than 200 artists and musicians from over 30 countriesworldwide will perform in different genres of music, such as symphonies, chambermusic, and choirs.
The opening ceremony will be held on November 24 night at theHanoi Opera House followed by a concert under the baton of conductors HonnaTetsuji from Japanand Zoe Zeniodi from Greece.
The festival will conclude with a concert on the eveningNovember 24 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
The biennial event was first held in 2014. –VNA
