Vientiane (VNA) – Fifty oil paintings depicting cultural features and social activitiesof people living along the Mekong River in Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand are ondisplay at an exhibition which opened in the Lao capital city of Vientiane onAugust 3.
The art works were created by ten artists from the three Southeast Asiancountries.
Oganised by the Lao national art association, the exhibition has been an annualevent between Thailand and Laos.
This is the first time Vietnam has joined the event, which aims to connectcultures of communities living along the Mekong River, while bolstering mutualunderstanding among the countries.
The event offers opportunities for artists from the three countries to exchangeexperience, and open up cooperative orientations.
The exhibition will run until August 18.-VNA
