AFC Futsal Championship: Vietnam beat Bahrain 2-1

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s futsal team defeatedBahrain 2-1 in their second Group A match at the AFC Futsal Championship inTaipei (China) on February 3. 

Duc Huy opened the scoreboard for Vietnam in the18th minute of the first half and one minute later, Trong Luanraised the score to 2-0.

Bahrain team leader, Radhi Alsandi scored one for his team inthe 29th minute. 

With the victory, Vietnam secured the secondplace of the Group A with three points.

In the first match, the team lost to Malaysia 1-2.

The team is scheduled to face the host Taipei team (China) at18:00 on February 5, while Bahrain will compete with Malaysia at the sametime.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
