2023 Asia Women’s Club Volleyball Championship kicks off in Vinh Phuc

Vinh Phuc (VNA) – The 2023 Asian Women’sClub Volleyball Championship kicked off in the northern province of VinhPhuc on April 25.

The tournament brings together nineteams from host Vietnam, Iran, Japan, Taiwan (China), Kazakhstan, Thailand,China, Mongolia, and Hong Kong (China).

Participating teams are divided into two groups in around-robin format. Based on the results of the group stage, the teams willcompete for the first to fourth and from fifth to ninth places.

Apart from the first, second and third prizes for teams, the organising board will honour outstanding players with eight titles. Besides, the winning team will represent Asia at the 2023 World Club Volleyball Championship in China.

 After  the opening ceremony, Vietnamese team had their first match with Iran. Earlier, Khuvsgul Erchim of Mongolia lost 0-3 to Liaoning Donghuac of China and Altay of KaszakKaszak won 3 -2 over Diamond Food Fine of Thailand.

The championship runs from April 25 to May 2, 2023 and will be broadcasted live on VTVcab's ON Sports News, ON Sports , and ON Plus channels./.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
