Five Vietnamese movies of different genres, including comedy, drama, fiction, horor will be screened during the 2020 traditional Tet holidays (the Lunar Year of the Rat).

Hanoi (VNA) – Five Vietnamese movies of different genres, including comedy, drama, fiction, horor will be screened during the 2020 traditional Tet holidays (the Lunar Year of the Rat).

“30 chua phai Tet” (The 30th day is not Tet yet)

The movie is a friendly reminder of family relationship. It sends a message of “You may have many places to go, but only one place to return on Tet holidays”.

The comedy features Han (played by Truong Giang), whose mother died and father had beaten him since he was small.  Han becomes a greedy, mean and selfish man. A long time after leaving his house, Han returns and tries to claim his father’s land. Han ended up living the 30th day of the last lunar month (one day prior to Tet) again and again.

The movie will premiere on January 25 (the first day of Tet holidays).

“Gai gia lam chieu 3’ (Mean old woman)

The movie, co-directed by Bao Nhan and Namcito marks the return of renowned people’s artist Le Khanh to the screen after 20 years. She plays Thai Tuyet Minh – a rich old actress in Hue.

The movie features the silent fight between super rich mother-in-law Tuyet Minh and her super stylish daughter-in-law – Ms. Q (played by Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc).

The movie will premier from January 25 (The  first day of Tet holidays).

“Doi mat Am Duong” (The yin and yang eyes)

This is a horor movie directed by Nhat Trung. The movie features Trang – a photographer and creative director of a popular fashion magazine. After having a traffic accident, she had a horrible vision power. She decided to look for the truth behind those visions.

“Bi mat cua gio” (Secrets of the wind)

“Bi mat cua gio”, directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, is a mixed genre of romantic comedy and fiction. The movie features Linh (played by Kha Ngan) – a student with painting talent. In order to promote her talents, Linh’s parents decide to move to Da Lat – the city of fog, love and secrets.

It is out of her imagination that Linh has to share her bedroom with a strange man who had died. The ghost is Phong, who would be over 60 years old, however looks young. Phong used to scare away all families who moved in his house, just to keep it the way it was when he was alive.

The movie tells hidden secrets, thus sending a message of family, friendship, and first love in a romantic and funny way.

The movie will premier on January 31 (The seventh day of the Tet holiday)

“Tien nhieu de lam gi” (What is having too much money for)

“Tien nhieu de lam gi” (What is having too much money for), directed by Luu Huynh will be made debut from February 31. The movie marks the return of Phuoc Sang after a long time. He plays a rich man with a depraved lifestyle. Other casts in the movie include Cao Thai Ha, Hiep “ga”, Ha Viet Dung.

The movie tells about life of three men who become rich thanks to wood trafficking. One day, the Death knocks their doors and says they would be dead by the mid-night. Tragic-comic things happen during the short rest of their lives./.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
