VTV, VNPT team up for overseas package

Vietnam Television (VTV) and VNPT Global Joint Stock Company last week reached a strategic cooperation agreement to enable Vietnamese viewers worldwide to watch domestic television channels.
Vietnam Television (VTV) and VNPT Global Joint Stock Company last weekreached a strategic cooperation agreement to enable Vietnamese viewersworldwide to watch domestic television channels.

This willbe the first time a copyrighted Vietnamese TV channel package isdistributed to Vietnamese communities around the world. The packageincludes channels on general news, movies, financial and economicinformation, entertainment, health and travel.

Viewers canfind on these channels latest and diverse news about the country. Thetwo sides have plans to add more channels in the coming years.

VTVand VNPT Global will resort to the Over the Top (OTT) broadcastingsolution, which has become popular among users across the world. Usingthis solution, TV viewers can watch their favorite programmes usingvarious devices such as set-top-box, Internet TV, laptops, smart phonesand tablets.-VNA
