VinaCapital Ventures invests in two tech startups

VinaCapital Ventures, a Vietnam-focused venture capital platform, announced on March 15 that it has successfully invested in the tech startups of UrBox and Wee Digital.

HCM City (VNA) – VinaCapital Ventures,a Vietnam-focused venture capital platform, announced on March 15 that it hassuccessfully invested in the tech startups of UrBox and Wee Digital.

It said these startups are its latestinvestments to help with economic development and the young but potentialtechnology sector of Vietnam.

UrBox provides creative marketing campaigns tohelp businesses attract clients. It is partnering with hundreds of suppliers;over 3,000 food, beverage and entertainment stores; and e-commerce websites.

Meanwhile, Wee Digital provides solutionsoptimising users’ interaction in digital banking services by applying biometrictechnology and artificial intelligence. As the first company of this field inVietnam, it has quickly developed a network of high-end customers, includinglarge banks and enterprises.

In 2018, VinaCapital Ventures invested inride-hailing app FastGo and truck-booking app Logivan.

Also on March 15, VinaCapital Ventures announcedthat it successfully invited Dr. Philipp Roesler, former Vice Chancellor ofGermany, to act as chairman of its advisory council. –VNA
