Viettel receives two more exclusive patents in US

The military-run telecom provider Viettel announced on September 30 that it has received two more exclusive patents in the US for its two new inventions which were developed by a group of young engineers.

Hanoi (VNA) – The military-run telecom provider Viettel announcedon September 30 that it has received two more exclusive patents in the US for its two new inventions which were developed by a group of young engineers.

As of the end of August this year, Viettel had a total of 339 domestic patent applications and 49 others inthe US. Of which, it had received 44 patents in Vietnam and seven others in the US.

Each year, the number of Viettel’s exclusive patents increases by 142 percent,up nearly 8 times from the average rise of 18 percent by domestic firms.Viettel is taking the lead in carrying out the country’s intellectualproperty strategy till 2030 with the goal of increasing the number of patentapplications and patents by 16-18 percent annually on average./.
