Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran DaiQuang and President Donald Trump co-chaired a joint press conference in Hanoion November 12 to inform the outcomes of their talks.
President Quang told reporters that during Trump’s visit to Vietnam, the twosides issued a joint statement, agreeing to further deepen the bilateralcomprehensive partnership in the principle of respecting independence,sovereignty, territorial integrity and political system in the respectivecountries.
The relations between Vietnam and the US havedeveloped in various fields in recent years such as politics-diplomacy,economics-trade, science-technology, health care, and people-to-peopleexchanges.

Vietnam and the US agreed to beef upeconomic-trade-investment relations for mutual benefits, minimise trade-investmentdisputes, and implement more effectively signed economic deals, Quang said.
The two countries will forge ahead withcooperation in science-technology, environment, climate change, humanitarianactivities, human resources training, and people-to-people exchanges to enhancethe bilateral comprehensive partnership for the sake of their peoples as wellas peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and beyond, headded.
President Trump thanked the VietnameseGovernment and people for supporting the US to search for US servicemen missingin action during the war in Vietnam.
He congratulated President Tran Dai Quang on hissuccessful chair of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, which has freshlyconcluded in the central city of Da Nang.
Trump said the US committed to a free and openIndo-Pacific region where independent countries respect each other'ssovereignty, adhere to the rule of law and develop responsible trade.-VNA
