JeanDéléage, a member of the Supreme Council of French Notary, who is in charge ofnotary cooperation in Southeast Asia, witnessed the signing ceremony in ThaiNguyen on January 19.
At a meetingwith Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nhu Van Tam the sameday, the guest was told that Thai Nguyen is one of the three biggesteducation-training centers in Vietnam.
Therefore, thedemand for certification of contracts and documents from organisations,businesses and individuals in the locality is increasing, Tam said.
Thisrequires the province to further improve the operational efficiency of judicialagencies, including notarial activities, he added, proposing the French notaryassociation to support the Vietnamese partner in the sphere.
According to the deal, the two sides will regularly exchange information and documents on notarial profession, share experience in the field, and refine procedures for drafting documents to ease concerns in inheritance, land, and identity.
The agreementwill come into force within five years and be automatically extended once infive years if the two sides have no documents to end its validity.
Thai Nguyenwas the seventh locality of Vietnam to sign the twin cooperation with Franceafter Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Hai Duong and Vinh Phuc.-VNA
