The statement was made by newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to GermanyNguyen Minh Vu when he presented the credentials to Germany PresidentFranz-Walter Steinmeier in the Bellevue Palace in Berlin on February 8.
He said he would do his utmost to help bring the bilateral ties to a higherlevel of development, serving the interests of the two countries’ people.
President Franz-Walter Steinmeier recalled his memories of a visit to Vietnampreviously, saying he was impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic development anddiplomatic achievements after more than 30 years of renovation.
He expressed his hope that the new ambassador will make significantcontributions to maintaining, consolidating and developing the strategicpartnership between Germany and Vietnam.
Germany, the fourth largest economy in the world, is home to about 170,000Vietnamese people.-VNA
