Vietnam to serve 2 million RoK tourists in 2017

Tourist arrivals from the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam are predicted to hit 2 million this year.

Hano​i (VNA) – Tourist arrivals fromthe Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam are predicted to hit 2 million this year.

According to the Vietnam NationalAdministration of Tourism (VNAT), more than 500,000 Korean visitors visited thecountry in the first three months of this year.

Seeing the RoK an important market, theVietnamese tourism sector will boost cooperation with the RoK through exchangeprogrammes to increase the number of Korean tourists, said the VNAT.

Vietnam will participate in the Korea WorldTravel Fair in June, while organising more promotion activities in the EastAsian country.

In 2016, Vietnam welcomed 1.5 millionvisitors from the RoK.-VNA
