The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed BBCTelevision of the UK develop a 30-second video clip advertisingVietnam’s tourism and broadcast it on the BBC channel in theAsia-Pacific region.
At a recent working session with BBCrepresentatives, VNAT General Director Nguyen Van Tuan suggested thatthe clip be on air three times per day over three months.
Thefilming process will take place in famous tourist destinations acrossVietnam such as Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang,Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City.
In the first seven months ofthis year, the country welcomed over 4.85 million foreign tourists, ayear-on-year rise of 15.6 percent.
The tourismsector will strive to serve 8 million foreign and 37.5 million domestictourists this year, grossing 240 billion VND (11.2 million USD) inrevenue.-VNA
