Vietnam-Taiwan digital forum opens in HCM City

ViceChairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong said theforum has opened up opportunities for trade and investment betweenVietnam and Taiwan (China).

Ho Chi Minh Cityencourages the business community of the two sides to boost cooperationin online services and e-commerce, Hong noted.

The city will expand international cooperation and trade with countriesand territories worldwide as part of its plan to restructure the localeconomy and facilitate industrialisation and modernisation, she added.

According to Kuang – Chung Liang, Head of TaipeiEconomic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, the event broughttogether existing Taiwanese investors in Vietnam and over 20 leadingTaiwanese firms in e-commerce.

Speakers fromTaiwan shared experience in supporting small- and medium-sizedenterprises to expand global trade and transporting goods globally bycloud computing and online payment solution.-VNA
