Members of the terrorist group (Source: Philippineslifestyle.com)According to the Philippines’ competentagencies, following the attacks on the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group, the localarmy has found some bodies in the southern region of Tolo, including a Vietnamesecitizen, Tran Viet Van.
The Embassy of Vietnam in the Philippines iscoordinating with relevant agencies at home and in the host country to completeforensic and legal procedures and prepare all necessary conditions to bring homethe body or remains of the victim.
Earlier on July 6, the Philippines verified twovictims as Vietnamese citizens, namely Hoang Trung Thong and Hoang Van Hai,sailors of Royal 16 ship. They were kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist groupin November 2016.
Right after receiving the verification of thevictims, Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his deep sadnessand anger over the barbaric and inhuman murder of the terrorist group, andconveyed his condolences to the bereaved.
The PM said those who caused the death of thetwo Vietnamese citizens must be severely punished.
He called on the international community to joinhands to prevent terrorism.-VNA
